ObsessionA2 Club activates the Red Alert of La Vaca Gigante By Oakley which means there are 48 hours left to the celebration of the big wave surfing event.
The weather contitions are favorable showing a perfect forecast for this Saturday 17th of December.
The national and international riders are already arriving in Santander.
La Vaca Gigante By Oakley will become reality on Saturday, after the activation of the red alert of the big wave surfing competition which sets the 48 hours before the beginning of the international competition.
Most of the international riders are already arriving in Santander, coming from places such as South Africa, Hawaii, United States, Irland or Portugal – where they were getting ready for the event- For the first time, some of the great surfing figures of the world have accepted the challenge of La Vaca Gigante By Oakley; a great opportunity to get closer to the world’s top big wave surfing riders. Even though the local riders are the ones who better know the conditions of the wave, bets are open.
The cliffs of El Bocal/Las Canteras will experience again the spectacle that in the last edition gathered about 12.000 people.
The weather predictions show sea conditions that will go up to six meters high, the minimum length to be able to challenge the Cantabrian wave.

A COMPLETE COMPETITION
La Vaca Gigante By Oakley will wake up on Saturday sunrise in the cliffs of El Bocal/Las Canteras, but the beginning of the competition will be at 8:00 am with the check-in of the participants and the previous meeting at 8:30 am.
Always taking into account the wave conditions, ObsessionA2 Club, supervised by the Director Pedro Gutiérrez, will set the beginning of the competition at 9:00 am, with the first heat composed of 8 male riders per each session.
The second male round will be at 12:20; and the female heat will be at 3:40 pm, if there are not any delays or alterations of the sea conditions.
The final round, which will settle the winners of La Vaca Gigante by Oakley will be at 4:30 pm. The best male and female riders of the challenge will be awarded by La Vaca Gigante By Oakley at 5:00 pm.

8:45-9:00 am. The riders sign autographs in the surrounding area 9:00 am. 1º male round
12:20 am. 2º male round 3:40 pm. Final female round
4:30 pm. End of the competition. The riders sign autographs 5:00 pm. Awards ceremony
