La Vaca Gigante By Oakley becomes yellow with the activation of the yellow alert seven days before the beginning of the event. The excellent sea conditions that the weather predictions show, with a forecast of 7 days, have led to the activation of the first alert by ObsessionA2 Club in order to begin the big wave surfing competition.
The event, which will be located in the Cliffs of El Bocal (Monte/Cueto, Santander), could be held the next Saturday, 17th of December.

YELLOW ALERT AND CALL TO THE RIDERS
Two possible squalls and a powerful Atlantic Ocean are conditions that seem very accurate in order to begin the international big wave surfing event.
Oscar Gómez Ibars – the discoverer of La Vaca– as well as the expert in sea predictions Tony Butts, with the collaboration of AEMET Cantabria, have confirmed the powerful Atlantic conditions wich could take place in the Cantabrian spot.
This is why La Vaca Gigante By Oakley has activated its yellow alert, which means that the big wave surfing event calls the male and female participants together to come to Cantabria in order to challenge this extreme wave.
The audience, as well as the participants, will recieve the alert to get ready to their arrival to Cantabria – if their schedules allows– and to prepare their journeys.
The elite of the big wave surfing, at international, as well as national and local level, have their appointment at the waters of Santander. What is more, La
Vaca Gigante By Oakley has been the first international event to count with the participation of female riders with their own division and the same cash prize as their male opponents.
