Tras el éxito alcanzado en la edición 2015, tanto a nivel deportivo como de público, La Vaca Gigante ObsessionA2 se presenta con importantes novedades. La Vaca Gigante mugirá en el Bocal y la Isla de Mouro, como La Vaca XXL y La Vaca de Mouro respectivamente.

Following the success of the past edition in 2015, in sporting terms and level of attendace, La Vaca Gigante ObsessionA2 presents important news. La Vaca Gigante will moo in El Bocal and Mouro Island as La Vaca XXL and La Vaca de Mouro.
ObsessionA2 Club has presented at Santander’s town hall a new edition of La Vaca Gigante. The big wave surfing invitational competition has counted with the presence of Juan Domínguez (Councillor of Sports of Santander), Zara Ursuguía (Sports Director of the Governement of Cantabria), Marina Bolado (Tourism Director of the Government of Cantabria) and ObsessionA2 Club Director, Pedro García, in a meeting which has revealed a lot of news for this edition.
Following the success of the past edition which brought together nearly 12,000 people in the cliffs of Las Canteras (Monte) and 32 international professional surfers who challenged waves 7 meters high, La Vaca Gigante wants to moo stronger than ever.

SPOTS- TWO ENCLAVES FOR A COW WITH CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN
Again 32 international and national surfers will try to tame La Vaca Gigante by Oakley. This edition counts with two posible locations: the cliffs of El Bocal or Mouro Island.
Both enclaves offer high technical characteristics, with a minimun height which must be over 6 meters in order to be able to celebrate the spectacular event of extreme sport.
“We like big wave extreme competitions” Pedro Garcia, ObsessionA2 club’s director declares: “We would like to present La Vaca XXL by Oakley which, like the past year, will take place in the cliffs of Las Canteras or at a new enclave called “La Vaca de la Isla de Mouro”. Our technical team – among which it is included Óscar Gómez Ibars, discoverer of La Vaca – have already surfed it and the bar made between Mouro Island and Magdalena’s Palace in the entrance to the Bay of Santander can achieve waves of 6 meters high with a storm, as well as in El Bocal; an amazing spectacle”.
